EnviroKinetics VPN setup
FortiClient VPN with Microsoft sign-in. Same login as your email.
1. Download FortiClient for your computer
These are the official FortiClient VPN downloads from Fortinet. The free version is fine — it includes everything our setup needs.
2. Install with default options
Run the installer. Click through with the defaults — no special configuration needed.
You may be asked to restart. If so, restart, then continue.
3. Register with our management
Open FortiClient. You'll see "Register FortiClient with EMS" or similar near the top.
Click "Use Invitation Code" and enter the code IT sent you. The code looks like:

Don't have a code? Email IT.
An EnviroKinetics sign-in window will open in your browser. Use your normal email + password and approve the Microsoft Authenticator prompt.
4. Connect
After register completes, click Remote Access in FortiClient and pick the Pilot_SAML_VPN connection. Click Connect.
You'll see another Microsoft sign-in window — sign in again and approve MFA. The tunnel comes up. You're on the corporate network.
Trouble?
- "Authentication failed" → make sure you're using your full
name@envirokinetics.comaddress, not just the username. - "Connection timed out" → restart your computer's DNS (open
cmdand runipconfig /flushdnson Windows, or restart your network on macOS). - Anything else → email IT with the FortiClient error message and a screenshot.
